WOW! Done with Day 1 of EAL Framework course with @eal_teaching. So much to pick and unpick. Absolutely honoured to learn from and share ideas with likeminded professionals.#lifelonglearning#EAL#teaching
I may be on maternity leave, but nothing is stopping me from looking up cool resources, shopping for rewards to share with my pupils and watching CPD videos during my leisure time. I promise you I am not a workaholic! #teacherproblems#teacher#lifelonglearning

Executive function refers to skills that help us focus, plan, work toward goals, self-regulate behaviours and #emotions, and adapt to unexpected situations.
This graphic by @EdPsychEd shows how we can support children with these skills. 💫

A note on safeguarding, for any trainees or newer teachers following me.
Report everything. Flag up everything. Filling in a safeguarding form is not "a big deal". Just do it. That thing you noticed that's "probably nothing" could be the key piece in a broader picture.
Don't kick someone when he's already down. You wouldn’t want that done to you. Be kind; motivate, a pat on the back, a positive word can go a long way. Be the rainbow in someone's darkest clouds.
