We had a wonderful November Heritage and Character Assembly! We recognized Indigenous Education Month and Hindu Heritage Month, and celebrated our students whose artwork won the Hindu Heritage Month poster contest. Congratulations to all of our talented winners! @WoodbineMS

We had a wonderful assembly celebrating Islamic Heritage Month, Somali Heritage Month, and Latin American Heritage Month! Students shared thoughtful and engaging presentations, and we recognized our Responsibility award winners. Congratulations to all! @WoodbineMS

The 2nd Annual Somali Youth Career Expo was a huge success! Somali youth had the opportunity to connect with professionals from diverse fields and explore exciting career pathways. An inspiring day with a great turnout and so much pride in our community! @SomaliHMTDSB @saysomaali

Ontario Skills visited our Grade 8 students once again with an incredible presentation on the many pathways available for their future! Students learned about skilled trades, apprenticeships, and hands-on careers that make a real impact. @WoodbineMS

We had a very successful Curriculum Night with a fantastic turnout from families and community members. Our choir performed two beautiful songs, and parents enjoyed visiting classrooms and connecting with teachers. A wonderful evening of community and learning! @WoodbineMS

Yesterday we honoured National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, while also celebrating our Respect award winners. Students practiced so much and their efforts made it a powerful and meaningful presentation @WoodbineMS

Our farewell Funfair was the perfect way to end the year, huge shout-out to our amazing Student Council for planning such a fun event! On a super hot day, the firetrucks came through with a refreshing splash of water and students loved it! @WoodbineMS @MFraserTDSB

Our final assembly of the school year was a huge success! Students led powerful presentations for National Indigenous, Pride, Italian, and Portuguese-Speaking Heritage Month. We also celebrated our amazing Perseverance award winners, what a way to end the year! @WoodbineMS

It was great having our incoming Grade 6 students visit Woodbine to get a feel for next year! Students had a blast and some even won prizes like uniforms and locker gear to get them started. Can’t wait to welcome you all in September! @WoodbineMS

Our Character Awards assembly for Cooperation was a huge success! Students shared powerful presentations on Sikh Heritage, Hispanic Heritage, and the history of Easter. Our concert band closed with an incredible performance that truly showcased cooperation in action! @WoodbineMS

Our 3rd annual Ramadan assembly was absolutely incredible! 🌙✨ Students were so proud to share this important part of themselves with our school community. With so many students celebrating, it was a beautiful way to learn, connect, and reflect together. @WoodbineMS
