On Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 1990, Officer Pennington was fatally shot as he & SWAT members served a search warrant related to the shooting of a law-enforcement officer. The assailant was killed moments later. #NeverForgotten#PoliceWeek
Last night, family & friends gathered for a Tribute for Law Enforcement Officers who died in the line of duty. Courage in the face of danger was epitomized by the 20 men & women whose names were read & candles lit. We honor them & will #NeverForget their sacrifice. Photos-M Beaty
