🚨 MADE OFFICIAL: Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews, who was injured 1 weeks ago against the Ducks and will miss the rest of the season, underwent successful MCL knee surgery in New York City today.

He is expected to be out for approximately 12 weeks while recovering.
