Because we host many school events, the room can get kindda messy, so they always hear me say...‘Always leave a place cleaner than you found it!’ I think that can carry that with them long after they leave my class, and apply in many situations.

If students have laptops in class you can have some of the content accessed on the laptops while they are in class. Also showing students how to use the app while in class would help as well!
