Never underestimate the emotional capacity of our small humans. They experience life in all of its beauty and its horror just like the rest of us and often aren’t given the space or the tools to cope with it.

my heart is broken. this classroom looks and feels like the ones I’ve spent so much time in the past few years. you can see the giggling boys probably trying to beat each other in a quiz, the teacher table hard at work. now these babies and their wonderful teachers are gone. 😞💔

Each of our staff members chose a word to live by this year. For staff appreciation, my co-principal and I hand-stamped bracelets with each word and wrote a note of how they demonstrated that word. I hope they loved them as much as we loved making them.
