@healthvermont@GovPhilScott: How will you ensure that these tests don't just go to the VTers who can jump on at 10 a.m. to order? Are any being set aside for VTers who are not tech-savvy or will be working during this time or for whom language is a barrier?
People are conflating Critical Race Theory with History. Y’all really protesting the teaching of HISTORY in schools. And just because that history makes some uncomfortable, that doesn’t make it any less true.

Teaching about racism is one thing.
Teaching culturally relevant content is something else.
Teaching with an anti racist lens is yet another thing.
All of that is different from teaching critical race theory.

my classmate was called on in seminar and said "I can say what I think but I'm not sure it's right." in response, today's discussion leader said, "it's okay. it'll get us closer to understanding this idea."
i have never felt so affirmed in a seminar.
Help needed: we are building a new 2-yr humanities curriculum for our 7/8 graders. I'm looking for some rationale for abandoning the traditional 1492-Reconstruction approach to US history. I'm sold, others at the table could use some research. TIA #socialstudies#vted#sschat
