Last night was a wake-up call for Britain.

• Genocidal language projected onto Big Ben
• The Speaker of the House of Commons reportedly altering Parliamentary procedure due to threats against MPs
• MPs apparently deciding how to vote based on external intimidation, against the backdrop of the MP of one of the most heavily-Jewish constituencies quitting politics entirely because of death threats and the burning down of his office

If our laws are now being made through the medium of threat and violence, our democracy itself is under attack, and those responsible for safeguarding it are in dereliction of their duty.
