Today in science we learned how light waves move using slinkies! How many different types of light waves can you name?

Here we used tools that represented different bird adaptations that help them eat. My favorite bird that we learned about was the greater yellowlegs.

Our field trip to Green Springs Garden was such a fun learning experience! We got to talk about the environment, animal adaptations, and our ecosystem as a whole. We also saw some cool animals on our walk 🤩

Last Friday three fifth graders treated me to a mini performance. They did wonderfully, and @ms_lubinski is always the greatest conductor 😊

Yesterday we had our first fantasy book club meet up! We got to discuss what fantasy elements we are noticing in the beginning of our books. We meet again on Friday!

Today we learned about Pangea and how shifting tectonic plates cause continental drift. Do you know how scientists figured out our continents used to be one super continent?

Today in math we practiced adding decimals by running our own restaurants! Customers bought food, and cashiers added up the price. Sundaes were one of the most popular purchases 🍨
