Stokesdale Elementary opened its doors for a family reading night Thursday, April 7. Dozens of families stopped in, and almost every child left with a new book. The event also featured guest readers, crafts, games and the school’s annual Port-a-Pit chicken dinner fundraiser.

A “Greener” pH Indicator lab with anthocyanin extracted from red cabbage! Students estimated pH based on the color change and neutral litmus paper test. Using the true pH, they calculated pOH, [H], and [OH] in various house-hold chemicals. 😍👩🏻‍🔬 #APChem #GoFalcons @Hastings_Chem
