Coffee is necessary, but my “why” is because every child deserves the opportunity to be literate which, in my not-so-humble opinion, is the key to a successful life. #ncaeili#mywhy
@kalee_hill @Ms_Arithmetic @TheMsValente@StoneTangie@enbiggs @RoyalEdutainer @teach27529@HLRteach @Shannonstaley3 Agreed! Self advocacy is paramount. I actually only call parents for upperclassmen after I’ve had a few conversations with the student and given the student a chance to improve a bit. I also call if I see a dramatic change in behavior.
@Ms_Arithmetic @TheMsValente@StoneTangie@enbiggs @RoyalEdutainer @teach27529 @kalee_hill @HLRteach @Shannonstaley3 When it comes to secondary, I often get parents who tell me that their child is grown and can make their own choices. It’s a tough attitude to combat! Bridging that gap is not easy. It’s something you have to approach on a case by case basis.
@Ms_Arithmetic @TheMsValente@StoneTangie@enbiggs @RoyalEdutainer @teach27529 @kalee_hill @HLRteach @Shannonstaley3 @MrThompson3 I struggle with this one!! I send some personal emails out but this is tough for me.
@Ms_Arithmetic @TheMsValente@StoneTangie@enbiggs @RoyalEdutainer @teach27529 @kalee_hill @HLRteach @Shannonstaley3 @MrThompson3 With the exception of Remind, I usually stick to school email and phone. Easier to trace and provide evidence if something goes awry! My administration also prefers email/phone contact.
@verizon#ReverseTheFee I use Remind to contact students every day. It’s easily accessible and safe! The words of my students are #NotSpam Please end this fee!
