Part of y9 Geography Superpowers SOW they have been investigating Nigeria’s crewmen and future status. Today was about population. They listened to a podcast by national geographic and annotated images with notes from it. They then decided if this could impact superpower status
Year 7 geographers investigated the impacts of fast fashion and then considered peoples opinions on the industry, before coming to their own conclusion about whether the benefits outweighs the problems.
After looking through some books during CPD on Monday I came across this activity from last term. I loved teaching the lesson and the students used a timeline to investigate Costa Rica’s path to net zero. They then evaluated the countries progress.
Today in y9 geography we completed a lesson on chinas territorial disputes as part of our superpowers SOW. Started with a find and fix, then a mind-map of what we know. We then used 6 figure grid references to locate and describe some disputes. Combination of retrieval and skills
