#theboxproject was so much fun. I loved seeing students creativity shine through. These 5th graders are presenting later today to parents and principals @PVEPioneers
Students got to spend classtime engaged in "P.A.T" (preferred activity time) they earned this week. The most popular choices were computer games, building, and cup stacking.

Ms. Guthrie, I want my planet to have a lot of moons, and the number won't fit, can I use powers of 10?"
*sob*you listened! Yes. Yes you can use the skills I taught you in math to be creative in science.

Today my students started "choice time" in the morning. They have a variety of activities to choose from from each category (building, puzzles, art, games) they also can practice coding skills on the computer or practice fluency by reading to the class pets. @PVEPioneers
How to get students engaged and excited about writing? Tell them to write a letter describing an interesting fact about themselves to the new class pet Mr. Nibbles. I've never seen kids so excited to plan....
Students talked about feelings vs. behaviors today during GAT. We got to practice acting out our feelings using only behavior. They loved it! Helped them get some energy outπ #everylearnereveryday@PVEPioneers
How can I express in so few characters the impact @Principal_EL had on me today. I wish I had recorded the whole thing so I could listen over and over. This year we will be champions! #EveryLearnerEveryday
Every student has a story and deserves to feel important, so show them you care by stepping outside your comfort zone and releasing your inner child because #kidsdeserveit
The tumbleweeds are loose! I repeat, the tumbleweeds are loose!
I just released 20 yellow-tagged tumbleweeds into the wild. Be on the lookout for those yellow tags; please scan to report tumbleweed location, and release again. Thank you for helping out!
