Tonight, our Board of Trustees celebrated the Lockhart ISD Lever Leader Academy, a professional learning initiative centered on the district’s shared leadership model and focused on growing high performing teachers into leaders of others.
This yearlong academy represented a significant commitment from participants across all Lockhart ISD campuses. Throughout the program, educators engaged in reflective practices, meaningful collaboration, and leadership development alongside both campus and district leaders.
All of these individuals are already making a tremendous impact on their campuses as teacher leaders, several have been recognized as Campus Teachers of the Year, and we are proud to say 8 have already accepted Lever Leader positions for the 2026–2027 school year. Their commitment to continuous growth and excellence reflects Lockhart ISD’s ongoing commitment to unlocking potential and remaining Locked on Excellence for our students, staff, and community.
We are incredibly proud of this group and grateful for their dedication to serving students, supporting their colleagues, and strengthening the future of leadership in Lockhart ISD. The future is certainly bright in LISD.
Please join us in recognizing the 2025-2026 Lever Leader Academy.

We would also like to extend a special recognition to Bluebonnet Elementary Lever Leader Tyree Duboise for her outstanding leadership and support in helping facilitate the academy alongside Deputy Superintendent Dr. Stephanie Camarillo.
Another great year for the PCE choir. We have had so much growth this year and we were able to accomplish one of our big goals: First division at the Hays Choral Festival.
