It’s revival time @thegrovenash! Meet us tonight for prayer, praise, & preaching at our Nashville campus. One of God’s best, @PastorHJW, will be with us to share the Word. It’s going to be an incredible encounter with God. I’ll see you there!

Just left the House Chamber after Speaker Sexton forced a vote to silence me for the remainder of the legislative day (for speaking “off topic”) and ordered the public cleared out of the gallery.
This is the authoritarianism we are fighting against.
Sixty years ago, the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom showed us what's possible when ordinary people come together to push for change. Now it’s up to all of us to protect and build on that progress, and create a better future for generations to come.
It was my pleasure welcoming the Tennessee Three to the White House.
Thank you, Representatives Justin Jones, Justin Pearson, and Gloria Johnson, for your leadership and courage to stand up for safer communities and democratic values.
There’s something people are missing about what happened in Tennessee.
This was personal.
Rep. Justin Jones didn’t only protest for stronger gun safety. He was the activist who played a role in the bust of Confederate general Nathan Bedford Forrest being taken down from
the Tennessee Capitol.
In February 2019, Rep. Jones, then an unelected activist, staged a protest at the Tennessee state Capitol where he demanded the removal of a the former Ku Klux Klan leader before being arrested.
The statue was finally removed in 2021. However, it seems some relics of the past remain.
What happened in Tennessee is the latest example of a broader erosion of civility and democratic norms. Silencing those who disagree with us is a sign of weakness, not strength, and it won’t lead to progress.
This nation was built on peaceful protest. No elected official should lose their job simply for raising their voice – especially when they’re doing it on behalf of our children.
The family of Michael Hill, the beloved Covenant School custodian killed in the school shooting, sent us a statement. Let us wrap are hearts around these victims and their families. @NC5
TN deserves access to health care, good jobs, & fully funded public schools. Yet, some politicians rather take away our freedoms: to decide what's best for our families and now the names we choose for our roads! #tnleg: protect #JohnLewisWay in Nashville! https://t.co/ol8Uec50JV
Tennessee Republicans’ bill to change parts of John Lewis Way to Donald Trump Blvd is about more than a street name. It’s yet another white supremacist attack on Black history. It’s spitting on the grave of our ancestor. It’s memorializing hate. Best believe, we’ll fight back.
Our thoughts and prayer are with the Taylor family as they grieve the untimely loss of Willie Taylor. We pray the Lord will provide peace and comfort during this difficult time. 2Corinthians 1:3-4
