It is an exciting day when you introduce your students to poetry by sharing YouTube videos of Rudy Francisco's poetry slams and a young man comes in the next day and tells you he looked him up and watched more last night, and another shared one with his mom! 😍

Allow yourself the freedom to tell a child "YES!" whenever you can. Be the one who remembers the magic of childhood and the breathlessness of hope. Be open to offering a memory. The world is full of closed doors, rules, and reasons why not... be the yes.
