This week I returned to the classroom, this time as a student once again.
Here’s what I was nervous about:
Will I find my class?
Who will I sit with at lunch?
What will my professor think of me?
Am I talking too much?
Everyone gets nervous. School is fun! You can do this!
Thank you Culinary Students for inviting me to your restaurant opening! This food was delicious and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.
I give For Pizza’s Sake 5 stars! @OPS_Burke
When you spend an entire quarter writing a research essay for an essay contest and finally submit it.... you need to celebrate.
Proud of these Honors English 4 kids! I challenged them and they delivered.
I got to taste this and WOW it was delicious.
Side note: you know your kiddos really get you when they bring you a full plate of pasta completely unprompted.
This is a great visual example of how hard our teachers are working to create engaging lessons for both remote and in-person learning. Ms. Smith keeps everyone engaged in the process of preparing a dish using dairy products. Baked mac and cheese is on the menu today in Foods 2!
Is there anything better than jumping into a new book!? Block 6 Academic Literacy couldn’t wait to get back from the library with their new finds!
It almost feels like a normal day 💛
Today was the first day in a while where I felt like myself as a teacher and it is 100% because of the students. We are getting into a groove. It’s not perfect but I can feel them trying and that is what matters.
I spent the afternoon trouble shooting tech issues with some amazing colleagues. Kiddos, the English Department is ready for you!!
(But also please be very nice to your teachers because this is hard!)
