The 1st step to end the decline of schools...REINVEST in teachers!
This means:
•Paying them appropriately
•Including them in committees that approve mandates
•Giving them more prep time to teach effectively
•Providing them permission to have unstructured time with kids
When students are engaged in meaningful learning, they’re ready to conquer the world. 💪

Whether students are remote or in school, we need to encourage as much physical activity as possible. Physical activity helps reduce stress, anxiety, and helps improve self regulation, focus, and on task behaviors. Its as important as any subject!
As we gear up for another week:
1. Lead with empathy - There are students and colleagues who struggled over break.
2. Put your focus on those things you have power over.
3. You can control the energy you bring.
4. Smile - someone can’t wait to see it tomorrow!
Attending to students’ social and emotional needs throughout the day—a.k.a Maslow Before Bloom—is crucial to a positive learning environment and stronger academic performance.
