Last week the Creative Writing and Forensics II students took a trip to the Ohio State Reformatory. They were able to see the prison’s inner structure, view set parts and photos from “The Shawshank Redemption,” and learn about the prison’s history. #positivelylc

[Jessica Keller @MsJKeller]

Today was quite possibly one of the best days of my teaching career. We got to take a group of fantastic students down to the @osrps to tour the prison. We learned so much about the history, architecture, conditions, and pop culture ties this facility has. #positivelylc

In Ms. Keller's English I and II classes, students engage in independent reading every Wednesday. They get to choose their own novels, audiobooks, graphic novels, articles, or podcasts. #positivelylc

HS Football playoffs:

Elmwood vs. Liberty Center will be played at Perrysburg’s Steinecker Stadium on Friday night at 7 pm.

Perrysburg has been trying for a long time to host a game like this in a regional final. They got a big one that will have a huge crowd.

This class is the highlight of every day! Most of these gentlemen were part of my very first group of freshmen at LC, and it’s been a pleasure to watch them grow as writers. Next up on our docket: horror stories!

[Liberty Center Schools @LC_Tigers]

Students from Mrs. Keller's new Creative Writing elective were recently working on their realistic fiction unit. They took a trip outside to be immersed in their settings for a writing activity. The stadium produced some of the best stories of the day! #positivelylc
