Math is more than skill and drill and worksheets! Connect it to real life situations so students understand the purpose behind it, allow them to be working within groups at ALL grade levels not just elementary!
My Team 6A definitely knows my favorites and surprised me with some goodies this morning and a thoughtful little card! Little do they know it has been my pleasure working and supporting them this year! ❤️💙🐾
Happy Halloween to our CMS Staff! Staff got to trick-or-treat through the administration, FSL’s and front office and get some yummy treats and classroom supplies! It was a big hit!! My office was decorated for the fun and offered candy and pens and pencils! 👻🎃💀
One of my students came to me during lunch and gave me a bracelet that she made for me! CMS with a heart and our school colors! Can’t wait to show it off tomorrow with my CMS gear! 💙❤️
Always thankful for your custodians and all the work they do throughout the school day! Especially when there is a banana 🍌 all over the floor and we didn’t want a Mario Kart accident!
Thank you for all hard work you put into CMS for our students, families, staff and our admin team! You are an amazing leader who isn’t afraid to push us but also there to support us when needed! Thank you for welcoming me onto the team. @MattLangton1
Thank you, Matthew Langton, Principal at Carpentersville Middle School, for leading us forward! #LeadingForward2023#ThankAPrincipal https://t.co/v06fzBddw7
Walk a mile in my shoes! Love that one of my 6th grade teachers had students share about their life and designed shoes to match who they are! CMS Cougars 💙❤️

Instructional Review was a great experience today at CMS. Data chat, classroom visits, PLC Pathways and building initiatives related to academics & behavior were highlighted. #OnwardandUpwardD300
Received this email from one of my teachers last night. No words can describe how this impacts me and how I know I am making teachers feel supported even during challenging times! 💙❤️🐾
Thank you to my assistant superintendent @NikiBurkey for the goodies and card! The amount of encouragement and support you have provided since I joined D300 last year has not gone unnoticed and I’m excited to be working with you in your new position! #OnwardandUpwardD300
When your hair is done a different way and not only do students not recognize you, but your staff members are looking at you in the hallway awkwardly because they don’t recognize you! Haha 😂 It’s been a week! Happy long week educators! 💕💕
2 days of math PD! Mission accepted and excited to bring back what I learned to my administration team and math department! Watch out, CMS is going to be making critical instructional changes for student growth!
During lunch last week I was having a conversation with a student and I noticed her bracelets, I wanted to make a relationship with her so I asked if she would make me a bracelet. Today she found me in the hallway and said I told you I would make you one!
@julie_holzhauer Always doing creative and engaging activities in your classroom that builds classroom relationships and also tying in those Kagan strategies that can then be tied into academics! 💕💕
