Can you imagine a Canada without Kids Help Phone?
We can’t.
As Canada’s only 24/7/365, free, multilingual e-mental health service for young people, KHP has supported millions to Feel Out Loud.
Sleep is truly a superpower! Teenagers require approximately 8-10 hours of sleep each night, yet only about 15% manage to achieve this amount. Sufficient sleep plays a crucial role in mental health, enhancing mood, boosting brain function, and promoting emotional stability!
Asking for help can be difficult, so to make it less intimidating we wanted to show you what happens when you call 9-8-8.
No one who reaches out to 9-8-8 will be turned away. Our responders will support you, whatever you are going through.
Today is International Women’s Day! 👏✨
This is a global day to recognize and celebrate women’s and girls’ achievements, raise awareness of the progress made towards achieving gender equality, and call attention to the work remaining to be done.
Too nervous to call? Not in a position to talk without being overheard? Calling 9-8-8 isn’t the only way to ask for help.
Whatever the reason, you can always text us. You’ll receive the same level of support, and our responders will communicate with you entirely by text.
Being an adolescent can involve many challenges. Some may feel trapped and need support to help them see hope for the future. Thoughts of suicide or suicide attempts are key warning signs. https://t.co/MgSroPG1kw
By giving students the tools to manage mental health challenges while uniting players and communities on shared experiences, we're showing students they are not alone. 💜
Together with the @NFL we're ensuring that all students and schools have access to #mentalhealth education.

🎩 #WiartonWillie Weighs In - EARLY SPRING!🐾
#GroundhogDay continues as Canada's favourite weather-predicting groundhogs share their springtime insights!
After a split start from the East, we've now heard from Wiarton Willie of Wiarton, Ontario. The famous groundhog did not see his shadow. According to legend, this means we can start planning for an early spring!
Willie joins his colleagues, Shubenacadie Sam, Fred la Marmotte and Punxsutawney Phil in forecasting an early spring. However, Lucy the Lobster saw her shadow and is forecasting 6 more weeks of winter.
The anticipation doesn't stop there, as we eagerly await the predictions of:
- Manitoba Merv in Stonewall, Manitoba at 8 AM CT (9 AM ET)
- Balzac Billy in Balzac, Alberta at 8 AM MT (10 AM ET)
With the predictions rolling in, how do you feel about what's in store for our season?

In the grade 7 classes at @CrossroadsDsbn & the 7/8 class at @BurleighHillPS, we learned how to identify more #complex#emotions, instead of using 'generic' emotion words, expanding our emotional #vocabularly! We also discussed the #strategy of "Name it to Tame it" -check it out!
