The college model (content experts who mainly lecture) is literally the worst pedagogical approach. So why do so many teachers justify lazy lecture based teaching that it “prepares kids for the [bad] experience in college”. It’s a pattern that trickles down too 1/2

@BasicLindsey I have just learned about it because it cost almost $100 a month to keep it stocked. I really hope you find funding or a way to provide them. If you make a cart I suggest you give it a nickname. I used Gene. My kids in the hall could say, "Ms. Jordan I need to see Gene." 😉

Speaking of raising awareness, there is a great way to support teachers' projects and help provide things for their classrooms. Just look up #clearthelist or #DonorsChoose and you will find some projects and Amazon wishlists. Teachers drop your list in the comments.

@BasicLindsey I agree with the importance of hygiene items for our students. Poverty has kept my students from having some of the things they need. I made a donors choose campaign for hygiene things for Gene our hygiene cart. I really hope that you can get funding to help your kiddos too.
