Whatever your feelings about the Trump shooting, it’s worth pointing out that if a Secret Service team can’t protect a presidential candidate, maybe expecting Mrs. Krabappel to protect her 4th grade students from an active shooter is unrealistic.

We need better schools!
Teachers:
•Ok, can we get classes with 24 or less students?
•Can we have more time to prepare for classes?
•Can we get a seat at the table?
•Can we hold kids accountable for their actions?
Same Americans:
Just shut up and do your job!
Should we RANK doctors based on the overall health (data) of their patients?
Should we PAY dentists based on the oral hygiene level of their patients?
The answer to both of these questions…
OF COURSE NOT!
Then why the hell would these thoughts even be considered for teachers?

If a 6-year-old girl like Ruby Bridges was old enough to endure the hatred and vitriol she was exposed to just to go to school, 2nd graders in Florida should be old enough to learn about her courage.
Yes—janitors, cashiers, & line cooks should be able to afford rent and groceries with their paycheck and have some left over. That’s common sense and common decency.
