It’s 🎃spooky🎃 season!
Today, the 7s were engrossed by The Monkey’s Paw by W.W. Jacobs. We left off at a cliffhanger and they can’t wait to finish it tomorrow!
Yesterday, the 7s were asked to listen and empathize as they reflected on the experiences of those affected by residential schools, including children, their families, and their ancestors. They then created feathers to represent what every child should experience at schools.
This year, I challenged the @Welborne_LDSB 7s to raise $1000 for @TerryFoxCanada and told them I’d dye my hair pink if they were successful. I’m so proud to announce that they raised a phenomenal $2900 for cancer research!!! Way to go, 7s!!!!
(Oh, and I now have pink hair.)
These Wildcats had the immense privilege of meeting @DaveAlexRoberts this morning. Thank you so much for coming to speak with us today! Thanks to @WritersFestYGK for connecting us with one of our favourite authors!
The 7s are VERY into fundraising for @TerryFoxCanada this year! Building on that, they were given this problem: “Ms. Frenette created a fundraising tracker that is 51cm in height. How did she determine the height of each incentive’s section?” @pgliljedahl@Welborne_LDSB
Today, the grade 7s demanded that math be moved way up in our daily schedule because they just couldn’t wait until last block to do it! Any guesses why? 🤔 @Welborne_LDSB@TerryFoxCanada
