A deep read that kept me thinking throughout. Interesting themes revolving around parents, what home truly means and what could have been. Written in verse and definitely needs to be checked out!
I got around to reading again and I really enjoyed The September House. A combo of so many genres and the ghosts each seemed to symbolize some form of trauma the main character experienced. Plus so much humour and love. Truly enjoyed this read. May have gotten me out of my slump!
Book #2 of the year…I’m definitely behind but this was pretty good. Sad to read about her reality and hardships. As a true 90s baby I can’t help but love my girl Brit

Whimsy, mystery, the spook factor… the artwork in the book is just outstanding! I need art from #janethill in my house like yesterday! A good read for fall and Halloween time. Hope to see more from her! And she lives in Stratford?! Must visit studio…
I finally finished this heartbreakingly powerful novel. Ideas of survival, family, dangers of technology, fate, father figures, and duty vs free-will. Also Loved following Marie-Laure’s journey and cannot wait to see the Netflix series! #allthelightwecannotsee
Good luck to all those returning to school today! I am expecting my first baby in 10 days and it is definitely weird not heading back with everyone. Missing the excitement but know my world is about to get rocked!!
You will finish #fangs quickly but it is the cutest way to get into the Halloween and fall spirit! Lots of cute and tongue in cheek moments when a vampire dates a werewolf. @scribbles_sarah creates adorable tales here bound to put you in a good mood! And the aesthetic 👌
What a gorgeous book! I loved the imagery created and I was so interested in listening to the main character’s struggle learning English. I think I will need to reread this to love the word choice even more than the audiobook! Many students will connect with this story.
Finally got to read #Ducks which was a great in depth look at working in the oil sands as a female. A very strong and thorough graphic novel proving graphic novels are a great choice in literature!
First time reading Stephen King and I LOVED 90% of this novel! Couldn’t put it down but it did seem rushed at the end! Still totally worth picking this up and reading!! ❤️
Just finished this quick, cute read - #igotyoubabe I loved that this included representation and was not focused on anything trauma based. I really connected with the main character’s ability to dream big - plus references to Cher - SOLD. Check this out for lower level readers.
Another book read! Was hoping to love this book because I LOVE Buffy… I liked it but thought some editing was needed. Loved the blend of new and old characters. Missed Buffy though!
Another great read! The relationships between mother and daughters interested me most. There were moments in the middle that dragged but overall I appreciated the multi perspectives, and how the author tackled many different topics. I will be thinking about this novel for a while
