My class has been obsessed with reading @chriscolfer’s “The Land of Stories.” To learn about Election Day, my students participated in a voting party to see who would rule a new kingdom. They were able to cast votes and create their own campaign book covers. Goldilocks won! #TLOS

When you have a difficult, disrespectful, and defiant student, my biggest tip for you… is to have lots of conversations with them when they are not in trouble. These conversations are where you build rapport… and that rapport makes future confrontations less likely.

I am currently student teaching with @PHMschools, and loving my 4th grade placement! I have already gotten many opportunities to lead instruction and bond with the students. The sense of community and support has been overwhelmingly positive as well! #StudentTeacher

Last semester, I produced and directed the children’s play, “Junie B. Jones is Not a Crook.” By connecting with MCPL, we were able to bring children in the community their first theatre experience, as well as spark their interest in reading! #ArtsMatter #ExcellenceinEducation
