Teacher of @MusicHpt & Choir. @Seesaw Ambassador. Always seeking creative ideas to create a love of learning in my students. Thoughts are my own. #TuBeArtful
@iacarinot @CromwellValleyE@MusicBCPS Such a smart way to execute stations! I also typically feel rushed so I will have to try this strategy, plus then the kids get to do more games! Thanks for the response! :)
@iacarinot @CromwellValleyE@MusicBCPS So many great activities! Do you have the students choose which station they want to go to or do you assign them specifically?
The 4th grade @hpointschool choir put on a mini-performance for family and friends this afternoon! Perfect weather for an outdoor concert! ☀️🍁 #resilience135
@kgilbert4683 @hpointschool Let me know how this goes throughout the year, I would love to incorporate this as an option for 5th grade when they do their genius hour projects in the spring! 😊
We absolutely LOVED seeing our friends in Mrs. Rein's and Ms. Hynes' classes using their wallets for our first Hornet Store today! Students were able to quickly count their money for easy shopping! Thanks @kgilbert4683 for collaborating on this project! 💛 #HptPride#Resilient135
@kgilbert4683 @hpointschool I am so excited that you have this designated space this year! Our news team does an amazing job keeping High Point running smoothly! 💛
@heymrsbond At the beginning of last school year our principals took the picture book "Zoom" and literally ripped it apart and mounted them onto black paper and we had to get into the correct sequence of the story. It was very fun and forced everyone to communicate in a low pressure way!
If we really care about student success, we would:
* Have a shorter school day
* Have more Arts, Physical Ed.
* Include more recess and unstructured play
* include more focus on strengths
* more divergent learning, i.e., innovation and creativity.
* celebrate successes more
