The Michigan Shakespeare Festival Interstate Touring Company, a.k.a. The MiSFITs, treated 9th & 10th grade students to an outstanding performance of Romeo & Juliet today. Thanks to CCS for funding this incredible live experience for our students! ❤️🖤🎭
Freedom isn’t inherited - it’s earned. Always thankful for those who answered the call to service. The best ‘thank you’ we can give is to live a life worth protecting in the greatest place on earth. Perfect? Certainly not. But we have it damn good thanks to their sacrifices 🇺🇸
Lots of wisdom on this "Explicit Instruction" slide. Though the well-known quote says, "The influence of a good teacher" can't be replaced, it also holds true for explicit instruction...can't be replaced by tech, online programs, screen time, etc. for optimal learning & growth
Can’t get enough of @AnitaArcher. She said if she could only do one thing it would be encourage active participation! She sets a rule in - no hand raise policy. We want everyone to actively participate not just outgoing proficient kids. @reading_league #TRLCONF2025
This randomly came up on my timeline just now, and I immediately thought, "I know her!" 👀 the young lady in the center. You might recognize her too! Congrats to CHS Class of '25, Emma. Wow! ❤️🤍💙 Thank you, Emma, for your service! https://t.co/kcMkpXUl3Q
Such a great message and timely to English 9's Chop Wood, Carry Water message this week: like the Navy SEALs say, "Under pressure you don't rise to the occasion, you sink to the level of your training."
When is ‘good’ just not good enough?
If the goal is growth you have to be willing to push the agenda and make people uncomfortable. Complacency is the enemy of progress. Never accept ‘good’ when you can establish and build on the positive habits that produce GREAT.
