After many career exploration activities, my AVID sophomores created valentines boxes based on their ideal career. We had a realtor, hair stylist, welder, space scientist, and so many other cool ones! We even exchanged some treats! @AVID4College

Our MS AVID kids participated in a service learning project yesterday at Feed my starving children! One student said “This was the best day of school ever!” 👏🏼 @AVID4College @ZHSActivities

So hard saying goodbye to this group! These kids were always down for any crazy lesson idea that I had & they would jump in & participate. I'm so thankful for this class. Survey responses like "our class really is a family" & the card they gave me made me cry. I will miss you all

We celebrated our season with an end of the year team party tonight! We had such a blast coaching these ladies this year! Can’t wait for next golf season!

Today the AVID sophomores analyzed "what's on their plate" at this point in the year! It was a great visual eye-opener, especially when I had them pull their phones out and look at their average school day screen time! We also discussed ways to best manage time! @AVID4College

A great visual vocab strategy we used in class today! We analyzed an article about the Middle East and students started by identifying 3 words in the text that they didn't know, we created a word cloud of the words so we could review the most common unknown words before reading!
