Unfortunately, there is a dearth of African American male teachers in America's public schools. There are even fewer in elementary schools. This kindergarten teacher at Florence ES is an example of the excellent black male teachers in @GCSchoolsNC.

So our Kinders are learning the different types of lines to prepare them for letter formation. I was sitting at my desk and a student comes up and says” I made this for you at home , it has all the different types of lines on it that you taught us !.” 😭
