I think one of the biggest lies we are told is that the sock size ranges from size 4-10. Yeah, no it freaking doesn't. The ankle part is back on my kneepit.

make sure you ask that it is noted in your chart that your personal patient concerns are not being treated, ask for the patient advocate to explain all of your concerns and questions and try to be as collected you can be in times of crisis.
The extreme pain in my head was physically assessed (an attending grabbed my skull and neck) and then told me that I was only having a tension headache and prescribed ibuprofen.
The absolute best thing you can do is advocate for yourself.
Mentally prepare yourself for situations like these.
If you feel you are not being heard, listened to, or acknowledged, tell your nurse or an on-staff hospital patient advocate that you need a different provider.
