We spend 50% more hours in school than Finland. And they get 15 mins of recess every hour. They have NO standardized tests except for PISA in HS and they outperform us every time. If we can’t give students more movement, recess, and play time then we don’t understand education.
I’ve seen a lot lately about incorporating more literacy into Physical Ed, but let’s also incorporate more physical activity into literacy and every other content class. Movement increases academics.
Your school doesn't want to "help students succeed in life" if you don't believe #physed should be on an equal footing with all other subject areas. Lifelong health is a worthy educational outcome. Maintain high expectations, support teacher development, be informed. Don't @ me.
Always great to see former students come back to Lincoln. This great group of young women came back to play some ball hockey and even brought canned food for the food drive. Looking forward to doing this again in February and making it annual tradition.
Excited to be provided the opportunity to bring the Championship back to Canada after settling for silver last year. Very strong team and even better teammates. Can’t wait for Nitra, Slovakia in June.
