Using Lego to create letters of the alphabet. Ss were really focused on finding the right pieces. It also allowed fine motor practice taking pieces apart and fitting them next to each other. @DorsetParkPS1@c_hammond2
Our Chicka Chicka Boom Boom trees were a big hit. Ss enjoyed balancing the "branches" and letters while practicing their letter recognition. @DorsetParkPS1
For measurement last week, included an activity to create a catapult and launch different items to see how far they go. @dorsetparkps @EarlyYearsTDSB@tdsb
While caring for ourself it's important to care for others, something I've been talking about with my class. So why not start by caring for beans or green onions and watching them grow. These plants are bringing me daily excitement. @dorsetparkps @tdsb@EarlyYearsTDSB
Wow! I was so happy to receive pics from families and seeing they are well. I miss my Ss. From the lessons the last 2 weeks, Ss found objects to match the alphabet, sorted and created shapes amongst the other learning. So proud. Stay safe. @dorsetparkps @EarlyYearsTDSB@tdsb
As part of our Learning from Home Lesson last week, we asked Ss to make playdough and use it make their name. We also had Ss think about their favourite season and draw a picture of it. These are pictures families shared with us so far. @dorsetparkps @EarlyYearsTDSB@tdsb
Some great things our ECE Ss led before the break. Ss mixed and created new colours with coloured ice cubes on sticks. "I made orange." They were also a crew aboard a ship in our dramatic center. "Look, I am the Captain." @EarlyYearsTDSB @dorsetparkps
Rainbow is our name of choice for our Torso. After learning about the heart, Ss coloured and cut out hearts and than wore them. This inspired some to create their very own large heart. @dorsetparkps @TDSBScitechkits@EarlyYearsTDSB
After reading "The Day I Chose My Family" with a Ss during guided reading, we talked about what an additional page in the book would look like. She thought the children would be angry at the dog and their parents are at work. @dorsetparkps @EarlyYearsTDSB
