Another pernicious cultural lie about sex workers is that a SW who sells sexual access has somehow sold part of their humanity. This one is deep and insidious. We are hyper visible as sexual objects and providers but invisible as full people. So we have to justify our humanity and I'm kind tired of that. "We're kind, too! We're also smart! We too have loving relationships and families! We have boundaries!" are all things we somehow have to assert even though we live our lives very much as humans do with integrity and love.
