So many amazing & inspirational discussions & reflections today for @BOYNEhdsb’s Day of Peace. For one activity, we reflected on what Peace means to us & discussed what Peace is using our senses! Such an impactful day of learning & reflection, in which we will continue to do🕊🤍

Today was @BOYNEhdsb’s first ‘Day of Peace.’ A day to reflect & come together to show our support for places around the world who are in need of our love. We wore traditional clothing from our heritage to represent all of the beautiful places we come from & to spread peace🤍🕊

These sweet girls have a big piece of my heart. I taught them back in Sept for a few months & every day since they have come to my other class’ portable to deliver me notes & say ‘hi.’ Today, they delivered a basket of notes they made for me🥺♥️ P.S. how cute are those smiles!!!

Our final day of the @MHCC_ Headstrong Summit was bittersweet. So engaging, powerful, inspiring and informative. We had so many crucial conversations within the activities. Our Student MHWB team rocked it and said that they wish they could do this every year!! Go Bears!! 🐻💚

Yesterday, we completed module 2 of our @MHCC_ Headstrong Summit. We learned the strong impact words can have and were challenged to unlearn and break down stigma within our classes and communities! Great job Bears for participating and representing Boyne so well! 💚

Today, myself & my teammate helped facilitate Module 1 in the @MHCC_ Headstrong Mental Health Summit, alongside our amazing Student MHWB Team! The students did a fantastic job participating in crucial conversations & powerful activities! Such a great afternoon. Way to go, Bears!

Today the youth well-being teams at 8 Halton Elementary schools participated in Module 1 of the HEADSTRONG Summit with @MHCC_. They learned about mental health and participated in important conversations.

Things got a little messy today during our soil study, but a little mess never hurt anyone! 🔎🪴We explored our mystery soil & Ss had to apply their learning of soil types to figure out which soil they received, they even added water to see if it would absorb quickly! Great job!

Today in math, we continued to practise comparing numbers through a partner activity! The students had so much fun during this activity, they didn’t want to stop and kept challenging themselves with harder numbers. It was amazing seeing their learning being used within this game!

My student walked in today and said “Miss.Morgan! I went to Niagara Falls this weekend & I bought this for you! I hope you like it!” I was overwhelmed with pure joy, telling her how incredibly thoughtful & sweet that was. They truly know how to make my heart smile🤍
