To provide further clarification, on Jan. 18, in-person learners will switch to asynchronous learning and log on to their Virtual Learning Environments (VLE), to retrieve assignments, etc. (1/2)
#Omicron hasn't just mutated. It's changed Covid symptom presentation too.
Out: Loss of smell, taste.
In: Sore throat*, runny nose, congestion, cough, body aches.
If you have any of these, it's probably not a cold or flu. You probably have Omicron.
A few semi-related #COVID19 thoughts:
1. The virus isn't going anywhere any time soon
2. We will all be exposed at some point, maybe not today or this month, but in the next year or two
3. Must continue to⬆️the # of people with antibodies (from vaccination) prior to exposure👇
In Ontario, critically ill, frail and immunocompromised patients & LTC residents are being cared by a workforce that isn't fully vaccinated.
The risk of nosocomial #COVID should not be borne by the most vulnerable.
@ongov needs to step up
🇨🇦CANADA CANOE BRONZE 🇨🇦
Laurence Vincent Lapointe and Katie Vincent paddle to bronze for Canada. They’ve made history by winning a medal in the Olympic debut of this event.
That’s now 23 medals for Canada in Tokyo. The highest total outside of boycotted 1984 Games.
