I worked with both @tinkercad and @mergeedu software to explore AR and XR, using creativity and critical thinking to design a daisy, after watching some tutorials, that can be 3D printed in the future! #ECI201
@MADISONKYLIB I loved learning more about gamification in the classroom with the Digital Break out “Day at the Park”! It definitely challenged my pattern recognition and abstract thinking skills! #ECI201
Saw a video today from one of my favorite TikTok-teachers nattiemeetsworld (her tiktok handle) and think it is hilarious how she interacts with her students #eci201

Made a Pinterest board that has a lot of really good ideas for educators for both organizing their lesson plans and classroom activities, but also refers to some of the tips educators can use to further engage their students through technology #eci201
A4: I think curiosity can drive our desire to be diverse or have unique strengths from others, but I also feel that diversity can spark curiosity, as people will want to learn more about things they are not accustom to or don’t possess themselves #eci201#SASChat#breakthebias
A3: I am a firm believer in the fact that two heads are always better than one, and especially with diverse strengths and backgrounds to perform certain tasks, so I think there is a big chance multiple perspectives can resolve biases in AI #eci201#SASChat#breakthebias
A2: we can mitigate bias through teaching humans to detect such bias, train programs in AI, which would presumably be at an all time high in this era and with such relevant challenges #eci201#SASchat
A1: I feel like bias in the AI era can be really risky in school systems because such can impact the safety of our students and in respect to can limit their privacy at times #eci201#SASchat
@JGTechieTeacher it is amazing how you emphasize the importance of hearing your students’ voices and ideas. What ways do you think best implement opportunities for your students to share their ideas, and some platforms you think are best for doing so in person or online? #ECI201
I came across @affirmationsandaccessibility (on Instagram) today, wanting to share a page that is a comfort to educators out there! From weekly affirmations to relevant news and relatable content connecting all teachers, she deserves all the love! #eci201#PLNDiscovery
In studying #specialeduation and for all those special education teachers out there, this concept of ‘the comfort zone’ is so important in understanding how much potential we have to be great, no matter our abilities! #eci201#PLNdiscovery
A3: #ECI201 I would use social media in the classroom as a way to spark interest and promote engagement from my students during less interactive lessons, however, not as a replacement to strategies or implementations I would usually use in my lessons.
A2: #ECI201 it would depend on the platform, but I would definitely consider having a separate account for my classroom to track progress and file ‘memories’ separate from my personal life, being that I am a firm believe in having work and home not mix
A1: #ECI201 I have seen social media used in the classroom before, used as a bridge of interest for students to be more engaged in a lesson/project and I would definitely use such in my classroom, but to an extent and with the goal of engagement solely
Q1: Have you ever seen social media used in the classroom before? How do you feel about students using social media in class? #ECI201 (#EdTechChat#NT2T#FETCchat)
My name is Isabelle Noome and I am from Redding, Connecticut. I go to NCSU, currently being in my first year, and am studying elementary and special education 🧩😊 #ECI201
A1: I think empowering your students consists of multiple things: teaching them knowledge beyond the minimum or baseline curriculum, creating an environment that allows your students to be confident, allowing your students to express themselves freely with such knowledge #FETChat
First Question:
Q1) What do you think it means to empower your students?

In my asynchronous session, I got to create like Kahlo, explore Italy, and grow my digital citizenship skills all from the comfort of my computer! #eci201#ISTEstandards
Played Interland by Google for our ECI 201 asynchronous session today and think this could be a great activity for students to learn digital citizenship and etiquette skills! #ECI201@NCStateCED
