We had so much fun at STEM Saturday at @powhatanschool ! From coding to making catapults to lots of teamwork, we had a blast acting as superheroes that had to save the world! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ 💫 @CESGoPanthers

We started learning all about fractions today! We watched an interactive video on @nearpod that helped to introduce fractions! Then, we practiced our fraction skills by creating our own pizzas! Yum!🍕 @CESGoPanthers

During class meeting we continued talking about the word “compassion” and then we wrote down how we can show it everyday! Also, we had our first student led number talk which was so awesome! She taught us a very creative way how to solve a multiplication problem! @CESGoPanthers

Last Friday for Veterans Day we shared pictures of friends and relatives with our classmates, and we talked about what their role was/is in serving our country! We also wrote “thank you” letters to them, and local veterans! 🇺🇸@CESGoPanthers

Some science & VA Studies updates! Our trout friends arrived back in Oct. We have been testing the levels of the water everyday. We did a fun watershed experiment! In VA Studies, we are in the colonial period, & we traded a cash crop for different products! @CESGoPanthers

We had a blast on our Blandy field trip today! We learned more about the trout life cycle! We also printed fish, learned about food chains, and how sediment affects our environment! @CESGoPanthers @CCPS_VA

We had a great time on Conservation Day! On our field trip, the kids were engaged in different stations that focused on learning about our local wildlife, our environment, and how to keep it safe! 🌎 @CESGoPanthers @CCPS_VA

We had tons of fun today in math learning about different types of graphs, and playing a game of @99mathgame! We even included VA Studies into graphing! 📊 @CESGoPanthers

What better way to end summer school, but to engage in a STEAM activity! The kiddos accepted the challenge to build a roller coaster but by only using a few materials! They were so creative, and had tons of fun!🎢 😀 @CESGoPanthers @CCPS_VA

We are having a blast in summer school! We are learning different math and reading concepts! In reading this week we are focusing on nonfiction, so we dove into learning about ocean animals, specifically clownfish! 🌊🐠 @CESGoPanthers @CCPS_VA

Year two in the books! We ended the year with such a fun field day! I am going to miss these amazing kiddos so much!! It has been an honor to teach them and watch them grow this year! They are so ready for 5th grade, but for now it’s summertime! ☀️ @CESGoPanthers
