Our four AMAZING teams blew us away in the class Battle of the Books. Their knowledge of these 15 novels was phenomenal and they had great sportsmanship! Speed Readers are going on to the grade battle!๐ @LDS_mshaines
The debate team at Barkalow getting us ready for our very own debates in our classrooms! Thank you for all your knowledge and time ๐จโโ๏ธ We are ready for our turn!

Big changes happening in science! We noticed the most mold growth in the sugar condition, as well as the one with additional moisture added. The fridge condition never molded just like we thought! @LDS_mshaines
Experiments galore in science ๐ฌWe have 6 different conditions for our mold terrariums to analyze which biome is impacted the most by their variable. Which will we see decompose the fastest?๐ @LDS_mshaines
These fifth grade students (and teachers!) had a blast on their trip to Black Bear Camp. Highlights included the paddle boats, mountain tubing and definitely the endless churros and icees! @LDS_knielsen@LDS_mshaines@LDSsmonahan@creech_lds

Marchโs number corner was one of our favorites so far! Students analyzed patterns across the area of different shapes and noticed relationships between place values to solve efficiently. As the month went on their growth was exhibited so clearly in some amazing conversations!
Students using their Exemplar rubrics to score example solutions with their math groups. I love hearing their justification behind their scores with evidence and seeing the different strategies used to solve! We can always count on Exemplars to challenge us!
Loved our Apex Pep Rally @apexleaderco on Monday to get our students excited to raise money on this journey! So far we have focused on being proactive as a leader. What can you do to show proactivity in school?๐ค๐๐งก
(4/4) The hard work of our fifth-grade students does not go unnoticed! We are so grateful for all the determination shown to complete Project EAT. We are walking away as more compassionate and selfless individuals ๐ฏ You have the power to make a difference! @DonovanSchool
(3/4) We had to use our mathematical skills to calculate, compute, and total the weight each day! These tiger cubs are gaining real world skills and giving back to the community, what a win-win thanks to Project EAT!โ
(2/4) Teamwork makes the dream work! Our assembly line allowed us to efficiently carry 560+ pounds of food across the school, onto the bus and to @AreaDoor! Boxes, boxes, and boxes- oh my!
Thank you @AreaDoor for teaching us so much about how we can donate back to the community. We are so proud of the over 560 pounds of goods we were able to collect and donate! We couldnโt have done it without all the generous donations from our Tiger Cubs๐ค๐ฅซ @DonovanSchool (1/4)
Thank you Mrs. Montgomery for being a fabulous guest reader during RAA Week๐ Our students are still making connections to Magical Hands and the themes we analyzed together! Reading is the true magicโจ@FTS_Curriculum
