If someone told me 4 years ago that I would be moving to Arizona and accepting my dream job of teaching 2nd grade, I would tell them they’re crazy. But here I am - 4 years later moving to the beautiful state of Arizona. See you soon, kiddos!
Promise Road kindergarten kiddos are using their fingers and collaborating to see if $7+$8+$5 will be enough to buy $24 of ice cream!!!! Great work from my little peeps🥰 #greatteachingIN#weneedmore!
When I grow up I want to be like Professor Hochman! He is one of the MANY professors in the College Of Education at Butler that reminded me of why I chose to become an educator.💙
“The arts are inherently personal. They demand our own interpretation." In 2004, Professor Arthur Hochman decided to create on class that would change the way teachers teach and students learn for decades to come.

Today was the 150th anniversary of Noblesville Schools, so we wrote a total of 150 nice “dot letters” and passed them out to people around the school that we thought deserved a little pick me up! I am so proud of my second graders for their creative, kind words! #greatteachingin
INTERNATIONAL DOT DAY! Today we read The Dot by Peter Reynolds. My second grade friends believed this book was about spreading kindness, so for our activity today that is exactly what we did!
Today we started our nonfiction unit! We separated into groups and collaborated on why a book can be considered nonfiction! How many characteristics of nonfiction books can you think of? #greatteachingin
Today during Writers Workshop we are working on retelling stories by using our five fingers! First we illustrated five pages of a story, then we wrote on those five pages. After we were all done, we retold our whole story using our words! #greatteachingIN
Today as a transition period we did “dance counting!” Finding dance moves we could use to count by patterns has helped us to collaborate as well! #disco#greatteachingIN
Students talked to one another about respect. While I walked around the groups I heard such great conversation! One student said, “respect means to treat people the way you want to be treated.” Just wow!
Today Mrs.Bartlett taught the first lesson of SecondStep. This is where students talked about their feelings on respect and what the word meant to them personally. Wow- was I surprised on the how deep my second graders thought!❤️ #greatteachingIN
This week I had the opportunity to go into Hazel Dell Elementary not once, but TWICE, to meet and to work with my future second graders❤️ Student teaching here I come! #countingdown#HazelDell
What a great message. It is so important, as educators, to be an anchor for our classroom. There is so much negativity in the world, we must help our students grasp the good! #GoodTeachingIN
What a great opportunity to teach students of Cedar Elementary about scientists and mathematicians at Stem Night! Shoutout to my great teaching partner, @ms_davide 🧪🧬🦠🔬🔭 #GreatTeachingIN
I am so very thankful to have the professors that I do! We had a late night teaching at Avon and we came to class to this great surprise! @ButlerCOE @deblecklider#ButlerDayOfGiving
Being both a future educator and a student athlete has given me passion to push young students to work their hardest, no matter the circumstance. Such an inspiring video! #justdoit
