I am yet to understand this culture of heroe- worship and how it sometimes strips people of their basic humanity. There is a video circulating of someone allegedly being verbally abusive towards his wife. It is being claimed that the person in the video is King Misuzulu. Whether those claims are true or not, the part that troubles me most is the reaction. Instead of society being disturbed by the alleged behaviour itself, some peopleโs first instinct is to interrogate the victim. โWhy did she expose private matters?โ Why record it?โ Why embarrass him?โ
At what point did protecting the image of powerful people become more important than protecting the dignity of those who may be harmed? This is how heroe worship becomes dangerous. It creates a world where status, titles, fame and influence can become shields against accountability. Where ordinary people are expected to carry pain quietly because exposing wrongdoing is considered a greater offence than the wrongdoing itself. Perhaps we need to ask ourselves uncomfortable questions about why we sometimes defend institutions and personalities before we defend principles. Respecting leaders, cultures and institutions should never require us to surrender our ability to recognise harm.
Human dignity must always outrank status!!!!
How you doin'? โ
I believe Julius Malema is one of the most influential political voices of his generation... and not by accident.
He has an undeniable ability to connect with people who feel overlooked and unheard. Whether you agree with him or not, he speaks with clarity, conviction, and a sense of urgency that resonates with many South Africans, especially the youth. In a political landscape where messages can feel diluted or overly cautious, he stands out for saying exactly what he means... and meaning it.
More than that, he has consistently pushed conversations that others were hesitant to confront, from economic inequality to land reform. He doesnโt just follow the national dialogue, he often sets it. That kind of impact requires courage, strategy, and a deep understanding of the political climate.
Believing in him isnโt about blind loyalty... Itโs about recognising his influence, his fearlessness, and his ability to mobilise people around ideas that matter..

PRESIDENT RAMAPHOSA NOTES US STATEMENT ON SOUTH AFRICAโS G20 PARTICIPATION
President @CyrilRamaphosa has noted the regrettable statement by President Donald Trump on South Africaโs participation in the 2026 G20 meetings.
The G20 South Africa 2025 Leadersโ Summit attended by several Heads of State and Goverment, was hailed by all those who attended the summit as one of the most successful summits.
The summit produced a declaration that affirmed the indisputable strength and value of multilateralism in response to the most pressing challenges facing the world.
As the United States was not present at the summit, instruments of the G20 Presidency were duly handed over to a US Embassy official at the Headquarters of South Africaโs Department of International Relations and Cooperation.
As one of the founding members of the G20, South Africa has always valued the spirit of consensus, collaboration and partnership that defines the G20 as the premier forum for international economic cooperation.
In keeping with this approach, the United States was expected to participate in all the meetings of the G20 during South Africaโs Presidency but unfortunately, it elected not to attend the G20 Leaders Summit in Johannesburg out of its own volition.
We are however pleased that US entities such as businesses and civil society organisations participated in large numbers in G20 related activities such as the B20 and the G20 Social. South Africa values their participation.
South Africa is a member of the G20 in its own name and right. Its G20 membership is at the behest of all other members. South Africa is a sovereign constitutional democratic country and does not appreciate insults from another country about its membership and worth in participating in global platforms. South Africa respects the sovereignty of all countries and will never insult or demean another country or its standing and worthiness in the community of nations.
South Africa will continue to participate as a full, active and constructive member of the G20. We call on members of the G20 to reaffirm its continued operation in the spirit of multilateralism, based on consensus, with all members participating on an equal footing in all of its structures.
It is regrettable that despite the efforts and numerous attempts by President Ramaphosa and his administration to reset the diplomatic relationship with the US, President Trump continues to apply punitive measures against South Africa based on misinformation and distortions about our country.
