Our week in Teen Leadership was filled with gratitude activities. We journaled, went on a nature walk and wrote letters to teachers. Happy Thanksgiving!!
FCCLA celebrated custodial and food service staff appreciation week! Kiddos planned out a potluck and a hallway walk through celebration. We 🧡 our custodians and cafeteria staff!
Today 8th grade Teen Leadership got to play with play-doh! While learning about Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs, kiddos got to create examples for each level. We had interesting creations!
Yesterday 7th grade used the fabric scraps from our projects and made them into dog toys! These will be going to the shelter this weekend. I also HAD to make them some pancakes on a job well done. 👍🏼
7th and 8th grade have been BUSY! 8th grade made homemade ramen and learned about healthier substitutions. 7th grade has been learning to hand sew and they’ve just completed their final project: making a pillow!
Congratulations to this amazing “Hippo Quad”! Super teachers Erica Jordan, Aida Finlayson, Ryan Mann and Andrew Haub graduated with their Masters degrees. They stuck together and supported one another through it all. Their future is bright @HuttoISD!
And that’s it for sugar cookies! 8th graders not only got to eat a sweet treat but practiced fractions and kitchen conversions as well as recipe annotations!
