Happy FFA Week 💙💛

So thankful I can give my students so many opportunities in this organization!

How to stay humble as a teacher: Make the bell ringer on your birthday a ‘guess my age’ question. I’m in my 20s and a student guessed… 43! 😂 That sure earned some good laughs from me and the class.

The Southern Valley FFA would like to thank South Central State Bank for their generous donation to our FFA program. It's the support like this from our community that makes SV a special place for our staff & students.

Last Friday, the Southern Valley FFA Chapter served delicious Feed the Farmer meals at our Edison and Orleans elevators! 🍽️🚜

This might be a month late, but I’m still on cloud 9 from my CASE Institute from June! Cannot wait to try some of these projects in my class this next year!

[Ms. Railsback @MsRailsback]

Drank the “CASE Kool-Aid” this week for the AFNR Institute in Iowa. This agriscience training is designed to help incorporate more scientific activities into the Ag. Ed. curriculum. I am so excited to implement these activities into my classroom for the future!

🔵🟡 Over 2,000 @KansasFFA members are in Manhattan this week for the 2023 State Convention.

NEW this year: Rural Radio Network TV has partnered with Kansas FFA to live stream all general sessions of the Convention on @WatchAcresTV!

I have been asked to be a member of the newly created FHSU Dept. of Ag Advisory Board. We had our first meeting tonight, and I cannot wait to see how the department uses this feedback to grow for the future. It’s always a great day to be a FHSU Tiger!

7 years ago, I finished up my last FFA Banquet, and 4 days ago I finished my third Chapter Banquet as an advisor. We love a full circle moment.

Very excited to have one of my seniors be recognized as a Kansas CTE Scholar this year!

[KS Dept of Education @ksdehq]

KSDE’s Natalie Clark is announcing the 2023 Kansas Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholars. There are 261 Kansas seniors receiving this honor.

Trying new things has been a major thing for our Ag Ed & FFA program this year, including Envirothon today! These young individuals finished 2nd as a team when we went to just learn more about environmental science topics!

That bottom pair gets me — I appreciate the more maternal look to #2 because #4 worries me with that much muscle how she will lamb down the road.

@JudgingPro 2-3-4-1
Class might sort itself out a bit differently in the middle pair especially with a rear view look for udder cleft and rear udder attachment but lots of ways to talk this class just from this side view.
