Grade 4/5 Core French Ss created a Pet using different body parts of pets learned. They are going on “vacation” and had to leave a care guide for their pet. Ss used learnt vocabulary from our unit in their cahiers and the slideshow to share it’s needs🐶🐾 @TVDSBFSL@CaradocPS
Grade 2’s learned about a Turtle Island Creation story to inspire their Art leading up to National Indigenous Peoples Day🌎 Ss used watercolour paints for their turtles and used Qtips to create a beadwork design to cover the blue paper that represents water💧 @CaradocPS@TVDSB
Grade 2’s used watercolour paints to create cactus paintings 🌵 First, students used crayon to outline their drawings. We talked about how the “waxy” formula deflects the paint for it to show through. Texture was added with QTIP dots to make our Art come to life 🎨 @CaradocPS
Grade 4/5’s have been learning about “les animaux de compagnie” (pets) en français 🐶🐱 Whiteboards are used for active participation. Ss have interviewed classmates about the animals they “aime” or “n’aime pas” as well as practiced masculine/feminine adjectives👫 @TVDSBFSL

Students brought French learning outside today by completing a “chasse au trésor” (scavenger hunt) using the vocabulary we have been learning in class so far for l’automne. Par example, une branche, une feuille, et un gland!🍁🌰 @CaradocPS@TVDSB@TVDSBFSL#french
Students had the opportunity to work in groups as they rotated to stations that spelt out “AUTOMNE.” Each station had them collaborating together to come up with a fall inspired answer for each question!🍁🍂 @CaradocPS@TVDSB@TVDSBFSL#french
