🐼 Giant panda cub Xiao Qi Ji continues to explore & take on new challenges—like climbing up rockwork in the indoor habitat he shares with mom Mei Xiang. He’s getting stronger, more coordinated & 💯 still an adorable little nugget. 😍 #PandaStory
@WeAreTeachers, I taught my lessons as Tour Guide Barbie (from Toy Story 2) today for our Dept Halloween Costume. Check out how some of her lines perfectly capture what we experience teaching online!https://t.co/KpKn6ik0v1 #teachertwitter#teachinginapandemic#teacherlife
@RMHS_Principal Happy Halloween from a few members of the Science Dept who escaped from Al's Toy Barn to go to infinity and beyond with virtual learning! Remember to please keep all hands, arms & accessories inside your Zoom window. Thank you! #TourGuideBarbie#Ham#BoPeep#Buzz
Nobody who is not teaching right now - today - has any concept of how hard it is or what it’s like. For this reason, it may be, just perhaps... I don’t know... a good idea to consider a teacher lens before the next policy shoe drops.
So ready to kick off my 8th #firsdayofschool as a teacher. I usually post pics of my classroom so I had to get creative. I hope you enjoy this Part of Your (Virtual) World #parody tour of a virtual classroom! @RMHS_Principal#teachertwitter#Disney

@dixon_jeanette Thank you for being an advocate for teachers & the need for more planning time be for actual planning (not meetings/training)! Perhaps your proposed amendment could be revisited once we hear more from the state since the schedule/plan is flexible? #MCEA#MCPS
It is with heavy hearts that we announce Sir Ken Robinson died peacefully yesterday, 21st August 2020, surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.
We will be following up with a further update as we begin to follow Sir Ken’s wishes and honour his legacy.
Thanks @tnebelrob! Asynchronous learning experiences are equally as valuable & rigorous as synchronous ones! While I teach HS, I agree asynchronous Wednesdays would benefit staff & students at ALL levels! Hopefully @mocoboe considers this Tues when ratifying the final @MCPS plan!
Well-stated (and sung)! Elementary teachers need this too! Wednesdays should be asynchronous for all to benefit teacher preparation and student learning. @mocoboe@mcps@dixon_jeanette@ShebraEvans@brendawolff1 @FriendsofKarla
Thank you for your support and for helping spread the word! Asynchronous Wednesdays would support both staff (more planning & professional development time) and students (less screen time & more time to process content between classes). @mocoboe please consider this on Tuesday!
@eyes4tech I'm so glad you picked up on the ASL :) When I was younger my baby sitter was studying hearing & speech sciences, so she taught me some sign language. I'm a bit rusty but I think I got it right! And wow 4 preps is a LOT! Thank you so much for your kind words!
