Streaming of Black Ss & youths from low income families into vocational schools must be addressed immediately. There is an over representation of Black boys in these schools. Cannot wait until 2021. Families sold on notions of ‘hands on learning’ w/o fully underst implications
@DrAnnLopez Couldn’t agree more. I taught at one for years & believe me, if you take a look at graduation stats, vocational schools are not leading to careers in trades for black students. It’s just harmful streaming that disproportionately affects Black students.
