@nxwestmidlands why aren’t 50 buses stopping at the Moseley Road stop in Balsall Heath? I can see temporary lights but no reason not to stop. No signs to indicate. 3 buses sailed by me and several other people patiently waiting. Poor service-esp as you’ve hiked up fares again

@nxwestmidlands hi. Quick q: do you teach your drivers basic manners because I’ve just had an 11 driver be VERY rude to me (name of bus, Irmani) as yet again your ticket scanner isn’t working. Aggressive, uncalled for behaviour from him to me and not first time it’s happened.

@BhamCityCouncil Saw 3 lorries out this morning but ofc, not one of them came down our road in b13. Haven’t done since a month ago. There’s a rat in our front garden (and our rubbish is contained in the bin) and I fear for our health and safety. Shame. Shame on you. Your apologies mean nothing

@BhamCityCouncil This info means nothing. Action wasnt suggested for last Friday but all bins on my street and streets surrounding not collected and been out for nearly a week. We don’t want to bring them in on the off chance they’ll appear to collect-which has happened before.

@BhamCityCouncil I’ve reported it already. I’ve signed up to the newsletter. I pm’d your account start of January but no response. We need information: no recycling collection for nearly 6 weeks. Worst thing is not knowing. And fyi: it’s getting really unsanitary on the road

Why does ‘gh’ stay silent in “daughter” but sound like an ‘f’ in “laughter”?

I'm writing today about kennings in Old English. Essentially these are two word-metaphors that were used instead of concrete nouns, and they are exquisite. A ship was a 'wave-horse', the sea was a 'whale-road', the mind was a 'thought-chamber', and the sun was a 'sky-candle'.

@nxwestmidlands please can you tell your drivers to stop letting people into the bus when it’s already full. It’s unsafe and uncomfortable. I don’t know how anyone is meant to get off. This is the 50 boarded at Moseley heading to city centre. Appalling service
