Thank you @mfleonard231 for coming and teaching us about microbits! Students loved coding and extending their thinking. Many added their own flair to the task, making animations and sound.
We have been focusing on building our math resilience these past few days. Watching students grow from their mistakes and collaborating with one another to solve problems has been amazing! @StGabWings
Dear brother, dear sister: if on this night you are experiencing an hour of darkness, a day that has not yet dawned, a light dimmed or a dream shattered, open your heart with amazement to the message of #Easter: “Do not be afraid, he has risen!”
Not all your students come to class wanting to learn… but they all come wanting to belong. And when they feel like they belong… they’re much more likely to learn.
Fasten your seat belts. We went on a tour of the International Space Station today. Ss LOVED exploring the station and had so many discoveries and questions. Field trip from your living room was a success!
Using interactive graphs to help students gain a better understanding of plotting points and the X and Y-axis. We are loving click, drag, and drop activities in Math to show our understanding.
We played Boggle this morning to warm up our brains for today's learning. I really love starting each day with a game to engage students and get them excited about the day ahead. It's also a great way to interact with one another.
We are loving our Christmas themed Coding Pixel Art! A big shout out to @ErinLStevens and @missroneill for the amazing task! Students LOVED it! 😍 So much grit and perserverance to find out the picture.
Buses cancelled & schools closed today. Students will be provided with asynchronous student work by 10 am, as each classroom teacher has a Google Classroom or D2L site. Normal bell times will be followed to allow students to contact their teacher through the LMS or email.
