A5. I do morning greetings and check ins. I want to get a feel for students' mindsets before instruction begins and let them know I am there to provide support. #nt2t

A3. If a student is shy, I meet with him/her individually and ask questions about them and try to learn as much as I can about their likes and dislikes. I have found that slowly students open up and start wanting to participate. We need to have patience! #nt2t

A3. I start the first week of school getting to know my students' interests through different activities. From there, we have group sharing opportunities and surveys to continue to getting to know them. #nt2t

A2. I try to find out what interests they have and build a relationship from there. If they have any extracurricular activities, I ask how they're doing with those. I ask about their families. #nt2t
