Nothing in this @stitchfix is what I asked for. I asked for mostly work and date night; don’t want casual-everything was casual. I said I don’t like jeans distressed and prefer dark wash-I get light wash, super distressed jeans. Severely disappointed and don’t think I’ll reorder.
I pretty much just have them use google, but I teach them how to effectively use google: reliable sources, search terms, advanced search, google scholar, etc. #eparkchat
A3: if they finish early, they can extend their learning on their own. Research further, similar topics... It is also differentiation because each student will choose something different based on themselves. #choice matters even if it’s minor. #eparkchat
@404Mathletes Thank you! We try! The kids really take more owndership when they research and “learn it on their own” instead of a teacher showing them.
A2: Genius Bar has turned almost completely into research (the non-ENN side). I give them a topic or a tool and hey have to research how to use it and figure it out on their own. #eparkchat
A2: it’s easy with ELA. If we’ve been reading on a particular topic, I have them research that topic deeper for other sources. It’s great with writing, too! Then I’m not reading the exact same essays over and over again! #eparkchat
A1 its a real life skill. Research is imperative in today’s society. With access to the internet, no one can have all the knowledge, but they can have the toolkit to access reliable information. #eparkchat
